The right starting point
A backyard plan that respects the setting.
Share the survey, existing outdoor features and any shoreline-related plans. Lakefront work and an inland backyard need different planning questions, so identify both the property boundaries and the full scope.
Consider the views you want to keep, room for seating and how people will move between the house and water. The layout should leave space for the outdoor features you actually use, not just the largest pool that appears to fit.
Coordinate tile, coping and plaster with the surrounding deck. During the site visit, identify what should remain, which finishes need updating and whether nearby concrete or gathering areas should be part of the proposal.
Plan shade, an outdoor kitchen, a cabana or a fire feature as part of the backyard. Shoreline work is a separate question; tell us about it early rather than assuming it is included with a pool or patio.
Separate backyard construction from shoreline questions.
Identify the authority responsible for the actual parcel before setting the layout. For a property adjoining the lake, also identify whether any proposed work reaches the shoreline or land subject to another authority’s review.
For work that involves the lake
TRWD publishes Eagle Mountain Lake resources and permitting guidance, including drawing information for shoreline retaining walls, docks and piers. For lake-related work, ask TRWD whether its review applies. These resources do not mean every inland pool needs a TRWD permit.
For a property reviewed by Fort Worth, OneAddress provides address-based records including permits. Use those records and the survey to frame questions for the city. For other properties, confirm the responsible authority; the Eagle Mountain area name alone does not identify a permitting jurisdiction.
Yes. H30 serves the Eagle Mountain area for custom pool construction, complete pool remodeling and outdoor living. Share the project address so we can discuss the site and scheduling.
Does every Eagle Mountain-area pool need a lake permit?
Do not assume that. TRWD publishes guidance for lake-related work, but whether it applies depends on the location and scope. An inland pool and a proposed shoreline retaining wall are different questions. Confirm the appropriate reviews for your property. TRWD — Permits & Guidelines
How do I identify the right authority for my Eagle Mountain property?
Use the project address to identify the city, county and any other applicable reviewing authority. For a property in Fort Worth, start with OneAddress. Lake-related work may also require a separate discussion with TRWD. Fort Worth OneAddress property records
Can the pool design preserve a view from the house?
Bring the view and sightlines you want to keep into the design discussion. H30 can consider the pool, shade structure and seating together; the final options depend on the survey, site conditions and approved scope.
Can a remodel include new outdoor living?
Yes. H30 offers complete pool remodeling and outdoor living. Review tile, coping and plaster alongside proposed patios, kitchens or shade structures so the proposal describes a coordinated project.
Is the initial consultation free?
Yes. The initial consultation and proposal are free. Design renderings are subject to a design fee or project deposit.
Tell us about your Eagle Mountain property and whether you are planning a new pool, a complete remodel or outdoor living. Share the features you want to keep and the ones you would love to add.
